FilenameFixer is a browser extension that fixes broken Unicode filenames (NFD to NFC conversion) when uploading files. Your privacy is our top priority.
FilenameFixer does NOT collect, transmit, or store any personal data.
All filename conversion processing happens entirely within your browser using JavaScript's built-in String.prototype.normalize() method. Your files and their contents never leave your device.
FilenameFixer stores the following data locally in your browser using the Chrome Storage API:

FilenameFixer requests the following Chrome permissions:
The extension uses the <all_urls> content script match pattern to inject the filename conversion logic on all websites. This is necessary to intercept file uploads on any site you visit.
FilenameFixer does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services.
Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected in the extension update notes and this document.
